Study of the body in movement.

Concordia University 2013

Everyone is the same and has a personal life, even presidents and prime ministers… We tend to put them on a pedestal and think they are untouchable, but most of them live the same things we do.

Black and White Fiber Based prints 11x14”

This body of work is a mix of collage and photomontage that surrounds the idea of the depiction of the human body in printed medias. Pornographic magazines, fitness magazines, biology books, fashion magazines and medicine encyclopedias all collide together to create scenes in which relations between mixed body parts and a fictive environment are suggested. The silk scarves give another dimension to the photomontage and create a sense of tactility to the human body. The relationships between the ethic and the non-ethic, the beautiful and the ugly, the abject and the norm as well as the heteronormative world we live in are a few of the themes that compose these images.
